When you talk to any Low and Slow Barbeque cook, they will tell you that the most important aspect to creating amazing BBQ is to keep a low, constant temperature in your BBQ pit for a long period of time. Many of you know that this can be a chore in some cookers, and can lead to long nights and inferior products. We have the solution for this problem!
The first thing you need to use the Guru Power Draft system is a Control Unit, pictured on the left is our Competitor model, which is our midrange control unit. We offer three different controls for your needs. The Control Unit is the brains of the whole operation, in it is stored a preset program that senses what temperature you want your BBQ pit at, then injects just the right amount of oxygen rich air into your firepit. There are probes that plug into the Control unit, in this case one attaches to one of the cooking grids in your smoker, this is to track your pit temperature, the other goes into one of your pieces of meat to let you know when that piece of meat is done.
Also plugged into the control unit is the next part of the system you will need, the Power Draft Fan.
This is our 10 CFM fan, which would be plugged into your control unit. The fan receives information from the Control Unit as to when it should blow air into your fire pit. As you near your desired pit temperature, the fan will "puff" your fire to keep it fed with oxygen rich air to keep your pit at the right level. No more waving paper or blowing into your fire box yourself to get the coals going!
All of this is powered by a 12 volt power pack, plugged into any outlet or extension cord. A very simple system overall, clean up is a breeze as you only have to wipe off your stainless steel probes then put the whole unit away!
